Hellrider

Somehow, I managed to draw this in less than a whole day and none of it was done at work except the logo. Ooh baby.

Hellrider is a weird thrash band that tours with Death Toll on their second tour in 1988. Their music is very bizarre and they have the whole post-apocalyptic Road Warrior thing going on as far as their image goes.

From L to R: Thierrault "Pepper" Ouellette (drums), Alexander "AJ Devastation" Devonshire (vocals, bass), Olivier "Wolfy" Lévesque (guitar).

They are from somewhere in Quebec, except AJ, who is originally from Detroit. They started in 1982 and put out two albums with their original singer Garbage in 1984 and 1985, but then he got sent to prison after murdering people and hiding them under his floorboards. After that ordeal was over with, they convinced AJ, who they had previously befriended while touring the US, to move to Canada and be their singer/bassist.

As you can see, AJ has a lot of really ridiculous tattoos, like a rubber ducky and John Oates. He's kind of a ridiculous person. Pepper and Wolfy don't quite understand him, but he doesn't exactly understand them either. They're all weird. Pepper strongly believes in the existence of aliens and Wolfy is kind of psycho.

(oh and if it's hard to tell what's going on with Wolfy's hair, it's shaved on the side, that's what that lighter part is. They all have black hair, Wolfy's just came out darker than everyone else's for some reason.)

_{And even though I already have enough metal guys fucking each other, do you really think that Pepper and Wolfy are exempt from this? Of course not. They're not gay or straight. They don't have sexual orientations because they don't believe in them. But they pretty much love each other and are together forever. Don't judge me. AJ is straight though, he has an incredible girlfriend back in Detroit that eventually moves to Canada with him. She loves metal and cats, just like him.}

I haven't come up with a whole lot of backstory about these guys yet, but I would like to get deeper into them. I love them, and I can't wait to write about them on tour with Death Toll when I get up to that point (I have a long ass way to go). Possibly when I finish my current story, I could write one about them.

(they're loosely based off a semi-known real band of course, but not entirely. AJ is based off of a good friend of mine IRL. The other two guys? It's actually kind of obvious if you're into weird progressive post-apocalyptic thrash.)
